My Testimony

My Testimony:
I know that the Atonement is real and that we can all enjoy the cleansing power that it provides. I am grateful for my Savior for performing the Atonement so that I can return to my Father in Heaven. I am grateful for missionary service. I am thankful that missionaries world-wide have the opportunity to bring the fullest blessings of the Atonement to faithful children of God. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are inspired scriptures and are here for our behalf. I owe everything to all of those prophets of old that loved us so much and desired so much for our salvation to write down the words on how we can be saved. We are literally children of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to return to Him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. And I love the joy the gospel brings with the knowledge that we can be together with our families for all eternity.

Letter from President Hansen

We also received a letter today from Cory's mission president...

Dear Brother and Sister Barton,

This is just a quick note to let you know that your son has arrived safely in the great Texas Houston Mission.  We are happy to have him serving with us.  Please know that we will make every effort to ensure his success while he is here with us.

Elder Barton has been assigned to the Katy Zone.  His first companion and trainer is Elder Conrad, who is an excellent missionary.  He has been prayerfully chosen for this important assignment.  You have raised a fine son and  we, along with you, look forward to watching him grow in faith and testimony.

We have enclosed a photograph of him taken with Sister Hansen and me at the Mission Office shortly after his arrival.

Please feel free to call or write at any time should you have any questions or concerns.  May you be blessed for all that you have done to prepare your son to serve the Lord.

Sincerely,

Todd B. Hansen
