Well I found out Saturday that I am being transferred to Old Oaks 2 which is pretty close to the mission office. But I am really sad to leave. I just felt like I finally figured out my area and I feel like I still have more to do here and I am also sad to leave Elder Foster. We became best friends during our transfer. He is such a great young man and will do great things. I am now officially packed and ready to go for the most part so I hope this new area is as good as Bear Creek.
Well Amber's baptism was Thursday and a lot of people attended especially a ton from her family which, for the most part, are not members so that was awesome to see. Elder Vehrs who was one of the elders that started to teach Amber came down and performed the baptism. Elder Foster and I were the witnesses and when she went under I noticed her left leg didn't fully go under. Elder Foster nodded his head that she went under and I thought for a brief moment about not saying anything - I mean I didn't want her to get dunked twice or who cares if she didn't go all the way under. But luckily I got my head together and told Elder Vehrs to do it over again and that time she went completely under so all went well.
Cynthia's baptism was Saturday and well none of her family showed up and only about 10 people attended. We tried to get as many members out there to help support her in this decision she has made. Well Cynthia asked me to baptize her and well to make a long story short, she has never been under water before so she was really nervous and she wouldn't go all the way under the first time because she panicked. Well after I talked with her and helped her calm down a bit I went to dunk her again and she started to panic again. In my head I thought if I didn't get her under this time she would never build up the courage to try again so I forced her under the second time. At that moment she didn't really appreciate that because she almost broke into tears when she came up. But after the service the stake president said I did the right thing and I apologized to Cynthia about forcing her under but she was really happy I did so it was a pretty interesting experience.
