My Testimony

My Testimony:
I know that the Atonement is real and that we can all enjoy the cleansing power that it provides. I am grateful for my Savior for performing the Atonement so that I can return to my Father in Heaven. I am grateful for missionary service. I am thankful that missionaries world-wide have the opportunity to bring the fullest blessings of the Atonement to faithful children of God. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are inspired scriptures and are here for our behalf. I owe everything to all of those prophets of old that loved us so much and desired so much for our salvation to write down the words on how we can be saved. We are literally children of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to return to Him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. And I love the joy the gospel brings with the knowledge that we can be together with our families for all eternity.

Email Update: July 18, 2011

Well it poured like crazy this morning it was just coming down by the buckets but that only lasted for 30 min. and now it's super sunny.
Well it was announced yesterday in church that next Sunday there will be a special sacrament meeting held by the Stake Presidency and they told all the leader's to bring their keys so the very anticipated split of the Wheatstone ward is happening next Sunday. After that the new ward will meet at the West Road building @ 11. So we called President Pingree asking what are we going to do and how we are going to go to 2 different buildings that are not close to each other and the meeting times overlap with one 11 and then the other at 1. President Pingree said he can't do anything until the end of the transfer (which is understandable) and told us to cover it the best we can. So we will either get a car or another set of missionaries,  so we will see what happens.
Something really cool that happened this past week - I helped baptized a 500 pound man (Brian) in a swimming pool.  This was complicated by his size and the fast that he has a tube in his throat  This was Spring Branch's baptism but it was such a special and unique baptism and Brian had so much faith because he was so worried that it could go wrong and that water would go into his tube which goes straight to his lungs and that would have been a big problem. But he still went through with it and the spirit was very strong - it was very awesome.

That is so exciting that Trevor is coming home!  Give him a big hug for me when you see him!
It's so good to hear that y'all are having fun! I pray continually for that.
We have gotten a few referrals the past 2 weeks or so and we have quite a few potential investigators. So all I ask is your prayers for us finding people but also asking for people to find us.
Oh random side note, I don't know if I already told y'all this, but all the companionship's in the mission have gotten portable DVD players which is insane! haha I still dont' know how I feel about that - all I think is the possibility of missionaries going to red box and having a party haha.
Well I gotta write a couple more e-mails I'll talk to ya next week - peace out!
