My Testimony

My Testimony:
I know that the Atonement is real and that we can all enjoy the cleansing power that it provides. I am grateful for my Savior for performing the Atonement so that I can return to my Father in Heaven. I am grateful for missionary service. I am thankful that missionaries world-wide have the opportunity to bring the fullest blessings of the Atonement to faithful children of God. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are inspired scriptures and are here for our behalf. I owe everything to all of those prophets of old that loved us so much and desired so much for our salvation to write down the words on how we can be saved. We are literally children of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to return to Him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. And I love the joy the gospel brings with the knowledge that we can be together with our families for all eternity.

Email Update: April 11, 2011

So this past week has been a lot of fun! Besides the fact that I am in a all bike area which I hate some days so, so bad especially when I am biking down the longest road in our area into the wind I wonder why in the world am I on a mission in Houston, Texas! But that is just the natural man or just the lazy Cory Barton. But I am having so much fun with Elder Tobchan! But more importantly, we are working hard. Oh also I am losing weight being on the bike and sweating my guts out in this hot and humid weather which is good, but it's not even summer time yet which is scary because I am afraid I will be here during the summer. But on the bright side I will get skinny again and my legs are going to be huge! Man my legs are so sore but I love it. Oh also I am so dark being in the sun 24/7, I am gonna be black by the end of these 6 weeks - sorry I am jumping all over the place. But let's see what else is new, oh, Elder Tobchan is reading our cousin Kristy's book and is getting way into it. The Wheat Stone ward is super nice and I hope to gain the trust of the members here and that I can quickly develop friendships here because I am so used to the Bear Creek ward.  I can't even remember how I easily befriended many of the members there, it's like it just happened, so I hope the same thing will happen here because I want them to be able to trust me. Well I hope all is well.  That is all for now, I love y'all take care!
