My Testimony

My Testimony:
I know that the Atonement is real and that we can all enjoy the cleansing power that it provides. I am grateful for my Savior for performing the Atonement so that I can return to my Father in Heaven. I am grateful for missionary service. I am thankful that missionaries world-wide have the opportunity to bring the fullest blessings of the Atonement to faithful children of God. I know that the Bible and The Book of Mormon are inspired scriptures and are here for our behalf. I owe everything to all of those prophets of old that loved us so much and desired so much for our salvation to write down the words on how we can be saved. We are literally children of a loving Heavenly Father and He wants us to return to Him. I know that Jesus is the Christ. And I love the joy the gospel brings with the knowledge that we can be together with our families for all eternity.

Email Update: December 5, 2011

Hola Familia!

I have heard from members about the crazy wind weather Utah and California has received, that is just nuts! Seems like Houston is getting some cooler weather.  I think tomorrow we will be in the 40's BURR!

We had our ward Christmas party Saturday.  It was awesome we had seven investigators there! It was an awesome party! Amanda, Lance, and Lana were there but Jason didn't want to go. Then on Sunday we got disturbing news. I shot a quick text to Amanda and Jason just reminding them that they better be at church or I would come kick their trash then Amanda texted back saying they weren't gonna make it because Amanda was taking the kids and leaving Jason! I started to flip out! I mean earlier in the week when we taught about how we can be sealed forever in our temples, Jason and Amanda were totally digging that idea! I mean they were asking some deep questions and loved the idea.  Then on Sunday something happened (I still have no idea what)  that caused Amanda to pick up and leave! This was supposed to be our gift to Jesus.  I mean that family hopefully is supposed to get baptized on the 24th - this can't be happening! So after church we had dinner with a member, then after that went to the church to watch the Christmas Devotional.  But it turned out no one showed up to set it up, so we didn't end up watching it, so that was a huge bummer.  You gotta tell me about it. But it kinda worked out for us so we drove straight to Jason's house to provide comfort and what not. But when we get there Amanda opened they door, so I was all confused. Turns out Jason, or someone in that house, convinced Amanda to stay and calmed her down so they didn't end up taking off. Which is good for us - so we taught them and tried to show our love and support to them. Amanda is still ticked at Jason, but hopefully our messages help them pull together and not apart.

So yeah that's what happened this week - a miracle! Oh hey just so y'all know you don't have to get me anything for Christmas.  I am looking forward to talking to y'all on Christmas and that's all that matters ok :)

Love you and miss you guys!
